We are the largest speedskating club in Indiana, skating out of the IWSA Rink, at Pan Am Plaza in Downtown Indianapolis.
Speedskating is a lifelong form of physical fitness and recreation. Without the jarring of running, the traffic fears of bicycling, or the abrasions of inline skating, ice speedskating allows for people of all ages and skillsets to get a fitness workout, while gracefully skimming across the ice, in a style that looks effortless and efficient.
Ice sessions are open to all ages and all levels of skaters. At a typical session you will see 50-year-old fitness skaters, skating next to novices, aged 5 years to 65 years of age, skating next to National and Olympic hopefuls.

WHERE WE SKATE
After 5 pm, most doors to the rink are locked. Try the rink door that overlooks the plaza, at the north end of the rink.

EQUIPMENT
Speedskates can be rented through Indyspeed (see below), or you can purchase your own speedskates (Click on Equipment link, on the left). New speedskates start at around $150 - $200 in price. How Do I Rent Speedskates?

What Things Cost, Schedule of Fees for 2009 - 2010 season
Above is a detailed list of fees. But ice sessions typically cost around $20 for adults and $10 for youth. Summer ice is $10 per session.
