REMEMBER

 

Strive for good technique rather than speed during technique drills.

 

Glide on flats of blades, Push from edges of blades, using heel.

 

Nose – Knees –Toes,  or Tony Knows!

 

Push from heel of blade.

 

Transfer weight when appropriate.

 

Use hips (not shoulders) for weight transfer and balance.

 

Keep hip in (and shoulders out) during turns.

 

Don’t twist body or shoulders.

 

Shoulders parallel to ice.

 

Keep head up, Eyes looking forward (not at toes) along track.
